So you love Whitby? Well guess what - so do we!
We take every opportunity to stay at Saint's Retreat whenever we can so that we can enjoy the sights, scenes, shops and smells of the town. Like many people, we love taking a languid stroll through the streets before powering our way up the 199 steps for a tour of the Abbey and the beautiful St. Mary's church. The climb and descent are guaranteed to work up an appetite once back on the harbour and it is almost impossible to resist Britain's favourite meal once the smell of the freshly cooked fish and chips hits your nostrils like a sledgehammer.
